Sean Collier, keep with theater arts and English because logic is not the subject for you. Your column, "Drinking citations cause more harm than good," April 5, was completely off base and ridiculous.
First off, most people who are cited for drinking, regardless of age, have done something to warrant police attention, such as throwing up in any number of places, being loud and obnoxious, passing out in hallways, etc. Second, regarding the person who fell from the sixth floor of Beaver Hall, maybe if he were a little quieter like the resident assistant asked, the police wouldn't have been called and then he wouldn't have had to "run." Third, regarding Facebook.com, anyone who is dumb enough to commit a crime then admit to it in an open environment deserves to get caught. The true lottery you are playing is not one that the Penn Sate University Police have set up, it is one that you have set up. You chose to take the chance to drink underage, you take the chance of being caught, so stop whining about it.
