NEWS

A September incident involving a 16-year-old girl has resulted in charges against Alpha Phi Delta fraternity.

Follow the path down a windy Route 550, inside Buffalo Run United Methodist Church and down the stairs of the fluorescent-lit basement, to find the answer to the harsh winter weather -- coats. Free coats, that is.

The bumpy road to legal equality for men and women in athletics -- a 30-year-long trip laced with potholes, roadblocks, fender benders and angry finger pointing -- has jolted to an important intersection.

Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Senate passed a resolution last week limiting the amount of money it can allocate to student groups.

As the Nittany Lions begin to prepare for the Capital One Bowl on New Year's Day in Orlando, Fla., many local travel agencies have been working feverishly to book reservations for the students, alumni and fans who wish to go to the game.

Two female students reported that they were sexually assaulted in their Pinchot Hall room Thursday, Penn State Police Services said. The incident occurred sometime between 10:30 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 a.m. Friday, police said. Police would not give any other information about the incident and said the investigation is continuing.

SPORTS

For both the Penn State women's and men's soccer teams, this weekend brought the end to remarkable seasons.

The Penn State wrestling team is getting greedy.

Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville doesn't have good memories of the last time a team he coached matched up with the Penn State football team.

Safely sheltered by the invincible wall of victory, Temple junior middle blocker Charity Hill did not waste time engaging in the fine art of tact that is so common in postgame interviews.

For the first time all season, the Penn State women's basketball team's main weakness was on display, but it managed to overcome foul trouble anyway.

All they wanted for Christmas was an undefeated fall season.

It was a classic early-season game, where one team had far superior talent and pulled away for an easy win.

Penn State Icers coach Joe Battista tells his players after every practice that he wants them to be champions on the ice, in the classroom, and in the community. Owners of a perfect 16-0-0 record this season, the Icers also have reason to be proud of their accomplishments off the ice.

Brandin Knight, Julius Page and ... Donatas Zavackas.

With 14:40 left in the third period of the Penn State Lady Icers' contest against the University of Massachussetts-Amherst on Saturday night, Penn State had clearly shown why it had earned the No. 1 ranking in the ACHA East, while UMass-Amherst was ranked No. 3.

Practice may make perfect, but sometimes too much of a good thing can grow old.
